Hola, my name is Trevor Wilmoth and I am the Youth Director here at the Ventura Vineyard! I’ve seen just about every iteration of the High School and Jr. High Ministries as a sibling of a student, a student myself, worship leader, volunteer, and now director. Together with my team, I lead the Vineyard’s combo middle and high school ministry, “The Blend.” It is a great blessing that I am allowed to work with such wonderful fellow youth leaders now, all of whom share a passion for supporting and leading the youth of our church.
A bit about me, music has always been my passion, from secular to spiritual. Luckily I grew up learning guitar from my father as well as with the opportunity to lead worship as a high school student in the then youth program. I am currently enrolled in college, studying to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance. With that said, I enjoy playing Blues, Jazz, and especially Mariachi, in addition to Arias and Art Songs, and I do so with a variety of instruments.
I’ve had the good fortune to call the Ventura Vineyard my home for what now must be the better part of my life and, as such, had the pleasure of growing up in an environment which allowed me to ask questions to challenge my faith. My resolve has always been to provide the youth of The Blend with the tools to wrestle with their own beliefs, and to have a reason for the faith that they hold. To me, middle and high school ministry is a powerful time in a child’s life; A time where they truly start to form into who they want to be. It is my great honor to be a leader to each of the rascals of The Blend, just as it surely was for my leaders, when I too was a student.
